Adverse Credit

What if you have ccj's, or have been bankrupt etc..

If you have or think you may have adverse credit i.e. CCJ's, defaults, bankruptcy, mortgage or loan arrears etc.. and you are considering purchasing or re-mortgaging your property, it is advisable to get all the information on your circumstances. As this will provide access to more lenders who could consider your particular case. Each time you make an application or agreement in principle with a lender that completes a credit check, will leave a footprint of the search on your credit file. This can in certain cases reduce your credit score if you are shopping around trying to get a mortgage with loads of different lenders. We can on your behalf complete a credit check for you and get an instant response and then give you details on your mortgage options or you can obtain a copy of your credit report by writing a letter with:-

  • Your full name, including title, forename, middle name and surname (and maiden name if appropriate).

  • Any other name you have been known by.
    Your date of birth.

  • Your current address, including house number/name, street name, district, post town and postcode.

  • Any previous addresses lived at during the last 6 years. List each address separately including house number/name, street name, district, post town and postcode.

  • You will need to enclose a £2 cheque or postal order payable to the particular credit reference company.
